About

Yashovardhan Gupta is a Grade XII student in the Step by Step School Noida, and has a deep interest in history, which led him to the world of philately. As curator of The Rudraksh Collection, he started Maritime Disaster Covers in late 2019, to execute his vision of bringing people closer to the dying art of philately; he wanted to make people understand the importance of philately, not just as a hobby, but as preservation of historical artefacts. Yashovardhan specialises in the maritime wreck mail section of the vast Rudraksh Collection, probably one of the India’s largest stamp collections. It is his belief, that the power of the fascinating stories behind every shipwreck cover was enough to attract people to philately, as it helped them relate an artefact to important historical events. It is his proud privilege to present you with Maritime Disaster Covers, the best way to spark an interest in the fine art of philately.
